Caloundra

On Wednesday the 6th July we left Maryborough for Caloundra. We were leaving one pair of friends we have caught up with to catch up with other friends who were having a holiday in the area from where they live near Hobart. Our friends Darren and Maria, and kids, Ben and Hanna, were staying in a motel in Caloundra. We booked into the Big 4 next door.

Had a walk that first afternoon to check out the Caloundra foreshore.

We had pizza with them the first night in their room. On Thursday we went for a drive down to Golden beach and Pelican Waters.

Then to the northside and had lunch at the Kings Beach Surf Club and had a very nice backdrop.

Then we beach hopped to Shelley Beach and Moffat Beach and Dicky's Beach.

After a great day out we hit on a good idea for dinner. We had a BBQ at the back of Darren & Maria's motel which was right on the water at Caloundra. Ben and Hanna had a dip in the spa. I though a video was needed to show the good spot we were in.

So that was a great day with our Tassie friends. We were heading for Noosa the next day so we said goodbye but as they were going boating up at Noosa the next day we would see them then anyway.
